| These unique items were very precious pieces and used
daily by the entire family. Mantle Pots, circa 1830, served as planters,
and are interpretations of the earliest known examples of this form.
The pots have handmade copper liners that are watertight and removable.
Watch hutches safely held the gentleman’s pocket watch. Pictured here
is the petite sewing box along with many other examples of very important
items used by all the different members of the woman’s’ home or estate. |
